1. Bengal tiger and bacteria: The bacteria feeds on digested matter inside the tiger's waste. This doesn't harm the tiger because it already has all the nutrients it needs, but it helps the bacteria because it gets nutrients from the tiger's feces.
2. Bengal tiger and jackals: A golden jackal will follow around a specific tiger from a safe distance, and whenever the tiger makes a kill, the jackal eats what the tiger has left. The tiger isn't affected, but the jackal gets the food it needs. |
|
1. Bengal tiger and fleas: The fleas live on the tiger and suck its blood for food, therefore hurting in the tiger.
2. Bengal Tiger and Japanese Lung fluke: The tiger gives the Japanese Lung fluke a place to live and grow, but the tiger's lungs are damaged from it. In 1878, two tigers died from it. |
|
1. Bengal tiger and coliform bacteria: the bacteria gets its energy from fermenting lactose inside the tiger, so the bacteria benefits. The bacteria contains an enzyme that helps break down sugars in the tiger's food and give the food more nutritional value, so the tiger benefits from that.

Predator/Prey Relationship
Bengal tiger and a tapir: The tapir serves as the tiger's prey, so the tiger gets nutrients from the tapir. Even though the tapir is harmed, this is not parasitism because the tiger depends on the tapir on a regular basis for nutrients.
